Recalibration

It has been nearly a year since we’ve shared updates with you in this space. It feels important to touch in at this moment in time, to honor these threads in the web of connection we all share.

On the surface of things, 2025 has been a pretty horrifying year given the increased demonization and danger to our most vulnerable kin under the current administration. The grief, fear, shock and confusion of it all is a lot to metabolize.

Below the surface of things, there is another story playing out and I imagine many of you are perceiving this too. The chaos and violence that characterize our present reality are the death throes of patriarchal systems based on cruelty and fear. These old ways are dying and a new consciousness is being born. This does not erase or diminish the very real harm and danger so many are experiencing right now. Nor does it negate the moral imperative of keeping our hearts open to the suffering we ourselves may not be experiencing directly. As we hold this context, we hear the call to deepen our spiritual consciousness and heart-driven action.

Many of us grapple with how to balance staying informed/engaged with staying sane/healthy. There is a recalibration necessary at this moment in time, in order to find that sweet spot of responsiveness that is neither spiritually bypassing nor self-destructive. Astrologers like Pam Gregory and spiritual teachers like Sabrina Lynn and Lee Harris, (just to name of few of the many, many voices in this chorus) offer frameworks I have found useful for understanding what to do right now. To very briefly summarize the guidance that I’ve been hearing from them and others: Connecting with our hearts and expanding our access to spiritual nourishment and development are of the utmost importance. We are being called to evolve individually and collectively.

COMING THIS SAMHAIN
COMING THIS SAMHAIN

As all of us in this larger web of the Sacred Feminine Rising are experiencing our own unique journeys on this shared path, we, Spiral Muse, share with you this Remix and Medley of some of our most treasured original music. Recalibration will be released across electronic music platforms during Samhain this year. It is a distillation of the most hallowed and cherished themes of our music reworked to express and respond to this chaotic moment in time. It is a bridge into what is coming next, whatever that may be…

Now, a little bit about where each of us are in our musical and spiritual lives.

Kathleen is continuing to serve the Goddess through Brigid's Flame and is also currently working on her first solo album project, entitled Echoes: Songs of Love and Longing. She shares, "The album explores the profound spiritual journeys that love can initiate us into, journeying through longing, hope, and loss before arriving in joy beyond our expectations. A Spanish-language version of the title song, Ecos, will be released on November 11, 2025. The full album, including songs in both English and Spanish, is coming in 2026!"

According to Tarot teachers, 2025 is a Hermit Year. This has been true for Dionne and myself. There are seasons for being out in the world and there are seasons for interiority. We have been heeding that call to deepen inward. As partners and co-creatrixes, we continue to cultivate the soul practices that are anchoring and nourishing us during these times. Occasionally, we record moments of our drum and prayer sessions and explore adding more layers and effects to amplify the energy of those prayers. We shared one of these experimental tracks in August, entitled May Their Weapons Become Flowers. On the whole, we are in the bear cave, focusing on deeply listening to our guides and muses.

Lana has remained connected to our herchurch roots, and we are heartened knowing that her violin continues to interweave with the voices and energies of this sacred space. She writes, "I play with Katie Ketchum, whose style includes blue grass and rollicky gospel tunes, so it’s been fun to bring the blues element into my violin playing. I've also had the opportunity to jam with musicians in a few other settings. Playing improv is the most practical way I know 'to live in the moment'! When I am in sync with the rhythm and embodied vibe of another musician, I feel really present to the magic and enthrall of co-creating. This is what drew me to Spiral Muse! The inward and outward spiraling of creativity continues.".

We send you heartfelt blessings and abiding love as we co-create together the next world.
