Honoring Loss, Celebrating Life

We recently provided the music for our first memorial service. Having served as musicians for sacred events in the past- liturgical music, weddings and an ordination- we knew we would resonate with the reverent tone and heightened presence that such events evoke. Each of us was surprised, however, at just how deeply we were moved as we participated in the grieving process of a community and learned about the life of a woman who died suddenly before anyone was ready to lose her.

Mourning, and celebrating, a life that has transitioned connects us to the essence of our being, to the fragility of life in this dimension and the eternal nature of life beyond. Making music in spaces that are filled with this awareness is incredible beyond words. Getting to learn about the life of an amazing soul in the process is a privilege. Goddess, we are ready for more of this.
